Safety to go: DEKRA Children's cap

On the 23rd of January 2019 DEKRA Automotive PTY LTD with the initiative of DEKRA SE held is first "Safety for explorers" campaign at Laerskool Elspark in Germiston Gauteng. There were approximately 1200 pupils present at the school when the Dekra caps were presented.

Mr. Garth Johnson "Preservation of human life" is our mission at DEKRA Automotive, the DEKRA Safety for explorers Campaign is to educate children on road safety and the reflective strip caps will enable the children to be more visible and can be noticed by motorists on the roads."

Each pupil at Laerskool Elspark received a DEKRA Children's cap which is manufactured with a reflective strip which lights up like cats’ eyes as well as a DEKRA Street Smart for Safety brochure with Road Safety tips. The Principal of the school was extremely grateful that we had chosen his school as the first in South Africa to receive these "safety" caps.

We were priveledged to be part of the school assembly when the caps were handed out and believe that if we save one life as a result of this campaign then we have been successful.
